കൊച്ചി. പ്രവാസികള്‍ ഏറെ പ്രതീക്ഷയോടെ കണ്ടിരുന്ന ഒമാനില്‍ നിന്നുള്ള ബജറ്റ് വിമാന കമ്പനിയായ സലാം എയര്‍ ഇന്ത്യയിലേക്കുള്ള സര്‍വീസുകള്‍ നിര്‍ത്തുന്നു. വിവിധ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ നഗരങ്ങളിലേക്ക് ഒക്ടോബര്‍ ഒന്നു മുതലുള്ള ടിക്കറ്റ് ബുക്കിങ് അവസാനിപ്പിച്ചു. കോഴിക്കോട്ടേക്കും തിരുവനന്തപുരത്തേക്കും സലാം എയര്‍ സര്‍വീസുണ്ട്. ഈ മാസത്തോടെ ഇത് അവസാനിക്കും.
ഒക്ടോബര്‍ മുതലുള്ള യാത്രകള്‍ക്കായി നേരത്തെ ടിക്കറ്റ് ബുക്ക് ചെയ്തവര്‍ക്ക് പണം പൂര്‍ണമായും മടക്കി നല്‍കുമെന്ന് കമ്പനി അറിയിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഇന്ത്യയിലേക്ക് വിമാനങ്ങള്‍ അനുവദിക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള പരിമിതിയാണ് സര്‍വീസ് നിര്‍ത്താന്‍ കാരണമെന്ന് സലാം എയര്‍ ട്രാവല്‍ ഏജന്‍സികള്‍ക്ക് അയച്ച കത്തില്‍ പറയുന്നു. കേരളത്തിനു പുറമെ ജയ്പൂരിലേക്കും ലഖ്‌നൗവിലേക്കും സലാം എയര്‍ സര്‍വീസുകളുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
ഒമാനിലെ സലാലയില്‍ നിന്ന് കോഴിക്കോട്ടേക്കുള്ള സര്‍വീസ് പ്രവാസികള്‍ക്ക് ഏറെ ആശ്വാസമായിരുന്നു. മസ്‌കത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് കോഴിക്കോട്ടേക്ക് നേരിട്ടുള്ള പുതിയ സര്‍വീസ് ആരംഭിക്കാനുള്ള ശ്രമങ്ങള്‍ക്കിടെയാണ് എല്ലാ സര്‍വീസുകളും നിര്‍ത്തുന്നതായി കമ്പനി അറിയിപ്പ് വന്നത്. സര്‍വീസ് പുനരാരംഭിക്കുന്നതിനെ കുറിച്ചുള്ള സൂചനകളും കമ്പനി നല്‍കുന്നില്ല.
